Hello everyone, I haven't been posting in a while, but I have been lurking. I am 7 weeks post- op and does anyone have any ideas what I can eat for breakfast besides eggs. I cannot stomach eggs.

My prayers goes out to Baboo. May God bless you and your family.

You might try Instant Oatmeal Quaker has a Calorie Reduced Instant. They also have instant Grits & Cream of Wheat. I make the Cream of Wheat with Chocolate EAS shake it ups the protein and taste a little like Malt-O-Meal. They are 100 calories but adding 1/2 a EAS will make it 150 calories. Any of these you can add protein powder or instant milk to increase the protein. Eat like everything else in moderation. I posted this before and caught a lot of flack but it was suggested to me by Vanderbilt and I've done well with it?
You will have to be the judge.
Some times I just have a little Greek Yogurt (the plain) then I add a little Cinnamon or Blue Berries and equal, it gives you 15-19g of protein.
Good Luck!

I like some of the breakfast recipes over at Eggface's website .  If you've never seen Michelle, she does some really cool things.  My favorite right now is this one:

Shelly's Banana Coconut Protein Breakfast Souffle

Or you could do just what I do.  A nice protein shake in the morning!

Good luck!

Scott taught us how to make protein coffee a few weeks ago.  Put 2 ounces of fat free half and half in your magic bullet with 2 scoops of your favorite protein powder (I use Matrix chocolate or Nectar Vanilla Bean Torte) and some sugar free syrups of your choice.  I also add my Benefiber to it.  Blend really good and put 1/3 in a coffee cup.  Slowly, stirring all the time, add your coffee.  I drink this in 3 cups of 1/2 caf coffee every morning and rarely eat any breakfast.  Sometimes, I am so full, I don't eat lunch either!
3 cups of this coffee gives you 258 calories, 12 carbs, and 49 grams of protein!

I sometimes have a ready-to-drink protein shake like Myoplex. You can add some of it to your coffee to get the protein in too. Sorta tastes like the fu-fu coffees.
Or you can mix your own protein shake and add a little fruit, like half a banana, to it.  Like Bob L. said, the instant oatmeal is good, but I found I have to mix it very thin (almost soupy).
I also made jello using the protein shots. Just replace some of the water with a 3 oz. shot.  Tastes good and helps ya get the protein in.

Light Yogurt is a good option. But my all time favorite is ricotta with preserves. You mix some ricotta cheese with some SF preserves (any flavor  - I like strawberry). Yummm! At 7-weeks you are on soft to regular foods right? Have you tried the morning star sausage?
Yep, eggs get old really quick. Have you tried Egg Beaters. I love those with some cheese and salsa. Also, I would make deviled eggs when I got tired of eating regular eggs.
You can eat just about anything for breakfast. You don't have to necessarily eat "Breakfast" minded foods for breakfast. If you like something else - like chicken or tuna salad- eat that for breakfast.
Or like others suggested, you can keep it simple and just have a protein shake. Good luck on finding options.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I do have a question about the deviled eggs, tuna or chicken salad, do you know of a recipe?

I would say at your stage, you need to keep it "soft". So, you can make all three with lite mayo, mustard, relish and any spices you like (salt, pepper, paprika, oregano..etc).
