House hunting = nervous breakdown?!

I've been house hunting it seems like forever.  I think I am about to have a nervous breakdown.  Every house we are interested in, it gets a contract on it as soon as it is listed.  Do you know of any one who needs to sell a house?  Have they had it on the market for like, a 100 yrs?!  Call me and I'll go look at it.  I bet it will sell within a matter of hours, and NOT to me! Or else that is what it seems....

Is it always this stressful?  Argh!  So if I am not posting a lot, its cause I am trying to regain my sanity, look for houses online, go see the houses "in real life", debate with Tim reasons we either need or don't need the house, oh did I mention regain my sanity?!?

I've had 2 breakdowns in public and they both had to do with buying houses!  Sorry you are having a hard time...

Aww Mel. It will be okay. I know how frustrating it can be but I bet when you least expect it the right one will fall into your lap. Hang in there and distract yourself with some fun. Have you visited Scott's blog today? I think something there might really cheer you up... Go see.
Blessings,
Karen

Mel,
I looked for the house that I am in for over 2 years!  And, the only reason I got it is because we put a contract on it while it had another contract on it.  Apparently in TN, you can do that and the original contractee (?) only has 3 business days to come up with the money to pay for the house.  We already had our mortgage approved and ready to go, so we got this one.  But, I will warn you, buying the house is only the first step.  Wallpapering is the leading cause of divorce or breakups in the nation, I am sure! LOL!

mel we just bought ours and we had to drive to the curb call the realitor and say we are waiting here can you come show it to us? and they came and we said is it under contract...cause by law once there has been a contract written they are suppose to take it off the market, but if they say no then say write one and make sure there is a easy exit if it falls thru and you dont lose your hard earned money. but yeah we went to the curb  and sat there. LOL
