O.K. I have been to a couple of seminars and have gotten to talk to 1 dr fr a few minutes but I was wondering if it is possible to sit and talk with a WL Surgeon as you would a reg Dr. Both seminars have said you would need to pay $200-$250 to get the process started that is before you even get a chance to talk to a Dr. I have questions and a tight budget LOL I would however like to talk face to face to a dr before I start handing him money what if I talk to him and can't stand him or don't like his answers or something then I lose my money and have to start all over. Is this the only way to talk to a WL surgeon. I would like to discuss ALL my options including DS but will have to travel much father to have DS if I decide to go that route but if not I had rather have a surgeon closer to home do my surgery.

I would insted find a support group and go sit in on it and listen the the Dr or Bariatric Nurse and successful patients experiences then that way you can ask questions and get answers for free. Bounce around groups but realize this that the answers you get are truthful if you dont like the answer then too bad. (not trying to be mean) This is a in your face surgery a life changing moment. You should go in expecting 100% total honesty like it or not. Its your life and your health. If you dont like your surgeon then make sure its for his work . Ask around call hospitals and get the Support group times and dates. Also I suggest you place your location on your profile that way people in your area know to respond.

I wish you much luck it is actually refreshing to see someone doing such intense research. I thought I was detailed...LOL
