Hi Everyone!
My name is Cathi and I am the program director for Commonwealth Bariatric Center in Somerset, KY. I am very pleased to announce that we offer one of the most experienced bariatric surgery teams in Kentucky and surrounding states. Our surgeon and certified bariatric nurse have 19 years combined experience in the speciality of bariatric surgery.
Commonwealth Bariatric Center is a hospital based, comprehensive program offering dietary consults, psychological examinations, consult with a physical therapist, education classes by a certified bariatric nurse, support group meetings and internet support group, led by the professional bariatric clinical team. Our insurance specialist and practice manger for Dr. Husted is Ellen Bell who has many years experience in bariatric insurance approvals.
Our surgeons offer a variety of procedures including the latest procedure, the VERGITO. Also performed are the gastric bypass, adjustable gastric banding, duodenal switch, sleeve gastrectomy and revision surgery.

I need to ask for a friend that is too embarrassed to ask, but what about those patients that were left behind after he went to California? Will they all be contacted and asked to follow up again in KY?

That is a very good question. We were told at our clinic that we are patients for life. And while I don't expect my doctor to stay in Nashville forever... I surely would not want to have to travel everywhere because his office relocates every few years. That would be a wonderful concern as I see too many who say "My surgeon left; I have no aftercare."
