Update and saying hello...

I know I haven't been on here much and my apologies for that.  Life has just been very busy and at times very crazy.  About a month ago I ended a bad relationship.  I've been in the hospital twice for malnutrition and dehydration.  Then on Monday (long story short) I went to the ER for what I thought was a pulled muscle but after a CAT scan found out I have 3 blood clots in my right lung and the lower portion had collapsed.

I will be OK but I think I'm just shell shocked right now to know how this could have turned out.  I have blessed for each of the 3 clots that passed through my heart without lodging and/ or not going to my brain.  What do they say, "But by the grace of God go I".  Apparently he isn't done with me here yet. 

So, I'm taking a blood thinner injection at home twice a day for at least the next 5 days and then I'm on an oral blood thinner for at minimum the next 6 months.  So, it's not that I've forgotten about all of you or been avoiding ya'll.  I've just had a lot going on.  Trials and tribulations.  Even through being tested emotionally by way of love and with my health... I still say on my very worst day this was the best decision for me.  If I had to go back and do it again knowing what I know now, I'd still do the same thing.

It is good to hear from you.  You ARE a very blessed girl!  Those blood clots making it through your heart is a miracle!  Take good care of yourself and once you are well...walk, walk, walk!

Glad to see you again.  I wondered how you were doing...  it sure sounds like you've had a lot going on!  Thank God that you are doing much better, and that you did not have the detrimental health outcome that could have occurred with the clots!  Thank God, thank God!  You are right, He still has a plan for you!

Hey Melinda!  I've lost 120 lbs thus far.  I've hit a plateau for the first time but I expected it and it will pick back up again.

Since I saw you last, I have often wondered how you were.  Sounds like you've had a wild ride, but you are hanging on!  Way to go on the 120 pounds lost.  You're doing fine!
