Update to desperately need prayer
Thanx to all of you *****plied and those *****ad, but still prayed. After much prayer and thought, I have decided to go to Memphis tomorrow to be with my brother whether he thinks I should go or not! His surgery is at 9 am on Monday, so please pray!
Also, I decided to go ahead with the rotator cuff repair. I couldn't justify putting it off, nor could I think of myself with integrity if I went to work at the hospital knowing I was only going to work possibly as little as a few weeks then use their benefits to have this surgery. I then called my new manager to tell her. You know what she said? "Have the surgery, take as long as you need, the job will be here for you whenever you are well. Your references were excellent. I am lucky to find such an experienced nurse." Oh my God, what an answer to prayer! I called the doctor's office to tell them to schedule it. I haven't heard a date back yet, but hopefully I can get to Memphis and get back in time if the surgeon has a cancellation this coming week. Again, thank you soooooo much for the prayers and good wishes. Ya'll are the BEST! Now, time for a happy dance!

My prayers are with your brother as well as the medical team that will be taking care of him. They are also with you as you travel from one side of the state to the other. Please let us know how everything turns out.
Congrats on getting positive feedback from your nursing manager. God has been in control of this situation the whole time and her response regarding your surgery is certainly proof of that. Take care and let us all know when your surgery is scheduled.
