Approved!!! Have my date!!

Woohoo!! Ok after 6 months and switching insurance companies mid stream I am finally approved and have my date for surgery on November 10th. I could have done it alot sooner but John and I are going to Vegas on Oct 20th for our 10th wedding anniversary and we both didnt think it would be a good idea for me to be on my pre-op diet while in the land of buffets.
I am so looking forward to no more diabetes and smaller clothes one day. Thanks for everyones support at the meetings and the jouney is just beginning.

Congratulations!  Get ready for a wild ride!!!

Congrats to ya!!  Start the preparations now for your "new" life.  Read, study, ask questions, and take this time to get your head right so you can be as successful as possible after the surgery.  The mental aspect of this is a huge part of it.

i think we have a little advantage in that she's watched my journey over the past couple of months.. we're very excited and looking forward to the 10th and beyond.

Enjoy Las Vegas and come home prepared to start your new life.  I agree with all here it is as much if not more a head thing then a stomach battle.  Read all you can and ask lots of questions.
