MEMPHIS GROUP

Hi,
Is there a group that gets together for dinner once a month like in East TN?  If so, please send me the particulars!  I'd love to meet all of you.

We are going to be part of the get together this weekend and we are so looking forward to it. There has been talk about trying to get one in West Tn for Nov. Everything hasn't been figured out right now, DH will be having is WLS on 11/11, so as far as our end it will depend on how he does. Please let everyone know from your area and let's get some idea's as far as date's and places. Feel free to PM me if you want to talk further. Looking forward to helping make this work.

I live just outside of Memphis in Somerville.  I think it would be a great idea for those of us in the area that has had surgery or getting ready or thinking of having surgery to get together and talk.   I know there are quite a few of us in the Memphis area.  Ok Memphians, let us here from you and what you think.

We are meeting 1x per month at St Francis Hospital (2nd Thursday of each month.) 

Some of us meet every week on Thursday night at 530 at Patrick's restaurant to support each other.  Please come and join us.

I had to go out of town Thursday so I missed the support meeting this month.  I would love to meet those at Patrick's sometime! I'm not familiar with the restaurant but will find it. Do you have a special room reserved or does everyone just know each other?

We just meet at the restaurant  put table/s together if we need and enjoy dinnerm snack or just socialise nd support each other.

I am going to try and make it this Thursday.  I have your number so if I don't recognize the group, I'll call.  Did that restaurant use to be an Asian restaurant (I am thinking I MIGHT know where it is).  Emily

I would love to participate too.   I would love to get together with the "skinny Minnies" but Patricks is pretty far for me to go every Thursday.  I have to get someone to say with my mom. 

I was thinking that we might find a small group interested in the Bartlett, Arlington, Cordova,  Fayette County area.  Maybe we could car pool to meet with the Patricks group once a month or so.  

I think this is a GREAT idea. 

I attended the St. Francis Support Group last night and It was wonderful to meet people going through the same thing.  There are some nice friendly and informative people there.  I always come away with a more positive outlook. 

 

I missed the St. Francis meeting last Thursday.  I also missed September's Meeting.  I work at St. Francis on the day shift.  So once I get home, it is hard for me to turn around and go back!  I am pretty worn out by the time the meetings role around in the evenings. 

I will definitely be at the next meeting, as I hope to be a little further in the process.  I finally have my first meeting with Dr. Weaver's office on the 23rd...just a little over a week away...I have been counting down the days....I hope things start to pick up a bit now....

I live in Cordova/Lakeland/Memphis/Arlington.  Right at Hwy 64 & Houston Levee.  Right at the cutoff for all the above...
