6 month WLS Appointment

Friday I went to Vanderbilt for my 6 month check-up. everything checked out OK. They told me I was normal (or a least with weight).
Haven't got my blood test results back yet. Then yesterday while out riding my bike I took a good spill and ended up being Life Flighted to Vanderbilt. They sewed up my cheek took several scans of my head, I was wearing my helmet, so the head checked out OK. They x-rayed both knees everything checked out OK. After about 8-9 hours they released me. This morning I feel like I went 12 rounds with Mike Tyson, have a good shiner and a little road rash, but all in all OK. But the bike came through OK! C'ya Bob

OMG.  YOU were being looked out after....  Thank goodness everything is okay.  So, going for a ride this afternoon?  lol

Legs are pretty sore so no biking today and need to buy a new helmet first. Might try and get on the weight bench for some leg extensions? See how the day goes? C'ya Bob

Bob, I'm so sorry you got hurt. I hope you heal really fast. I'm glad there was someone around to get you some help.

I'm glad your OK!  And I'm glad the bike is fine also.  Who's gonna pay for the dent in the road from where your head it?

Thanks Erika, I don't remember anything? Remember trying to miss this large dead possum in the bike path and that's it?? Did come to briefly in the helicopter and then in the Vanderbilt ER. But things are getting better. I think the scary part will be the bills!!!!!!!!!

Sorry that you took a spill, glad you are Ok.   Wait until you get the bill for the helicopter ride......then you will need to have your Heart shocked to make it beat normally again.   And just think you didn't even get to enjoy the scenic views of TN on your trip......ask them if they can give you a discount because you didn't get a window seat!! 
Glad you are OK, could have been much worse.
