Idea for Oct. 18th Dinner Club
I have found a place that sound's really interesting. Check out this website and see what you think. www.honeysucklehillfarm.com We have all ready contacted them to see what it is all about. We can get a bonfire with hay bales around it for a additional charge of $40 not counting the admission price. If we have more than 20 paying addmissions they knock off $1 of each. So we would need the $40 for the group and then it would be $7 per person, kids under 2 are free. So we could just collect money like 1 dollar or so from each person depending on how many was there to make up for the $40, just remember we have to have 20 to get the reduced price. We can bring our own food and cook at the bonfire. They do have concessions, hamburger $3, hotdog $2, Nachos $2.50, bottled drinks $1 chips .75. There would not be a time limit on the bonfire, they close @ 10:00. They have a corn maze, lots of playground, pig race's and everyone there will get a small pumpkin to take home. It looks like from the website that they have a great photo spot also. They also have hayrides and other activities at a additional charge.
So go check this place out and post to let us know what you think. I think we could make this work. The other 2 places that have been mentioned would be a little pricey for us.
I almost forgot, this place is in the Springfield/Clarksville area, but there are excellent directions from several areas of town on the website. From what I read they are not real far off of the Interstate. By having it in this area, would maybe give some folks a chance to join us, they may not be able to make some of our usual places.
If we can make this work, we might even want to do a costume dress-up, just another little something to think about.
Again, this is just another idea, tell us your thoughts, we will have to reserve a spot and I'm sure they are probably filling up quickly.
