Thanks Kathy.  Yes, I'm so thankful for my surgery because I don't know how I would keep up with a grandbaby otherwise.  Thanks to my surgery, I was able to catch my dog that got loose the other day and she runs like a gazelle. (LOL)  Glad your family is able to come see you instead of you having to make that long trip by yourself.  Now, hopefully, you will have the energy to enjoy their visit.  Take care.

Thanks Wendy, I hope to be able enjoy their visit too.  My sister lives in Michigan and is visiting the parents, she hasn't seen me since before I found out I have leukemia and had the surgery.  That was June of 05 at the family reunion.  I couldn't go last year because of the heat wave, so this will be a major shock to her.  I just hope she doesn't faint, I wouldn't be able to lift her.

Love ya, the

Hey Wendy, good to see you a posting again. Been way to long, sounds like you have been having a rough time of it to, hate to hear that.

You are looking great, I had to take a double take when you came up to the table sign in at the Walk, keep up the good work.

I hope the rest of your daughter's pregnacy goes well. Sad to hear about one of the twins.

Cheryl

Thanks Cheryl.  Yeah, even now, when I pass a mirror sometimes I have to back up and look again.  The thing that cracks me up are the double takes.  The thing that freaks me out are all the looks I'm getting from men now.  Had that happen last night at Wal-Mart.  My daughter was with me and I thought she was going to pee her pants right there in the middle of the aisle she was laughing so hard.

Yes, it is sad to know that she lost a baby, but we are so thankful the surviving one is healthy and growing right on schedule.  Can't wait to find out if it's a boy or girl.  Should know that sometime the 1st or 2nd week of December - early Christmas present for sure.

Hey Juanita.  Thanks, I am so excited I can't hardly stand it.  Hope you and your beautiful girls are doing well and have had a great summer.  How is the new job going?

I was wondering what happened to you. It is so easy to get caught up in life and lose track of online things. Glad you are okay and that your weight loss is on track. I'm so sorry about your daughters baby. Hopefully the one she is carrying now will be fine.
Blessings,
Karen

Thanks Karen.  I've read quite a few of your posts lately and it sounds as if you are doing well too.  Thanks for your condolences.  She is doing well and was quite excited to see a healthy baby on the ultrasound screen.  I was with her the day they did it and it was really exciting.  We have one picture that really shows it's little face (and she was only 10 weeks along at the time).  It's amazing how much technology has come along in the last 20 years.  According to the doctor, the surviving twin is healthy and right on schedule with it's development.  I feel like a little kid waiting for Christmas to arrive though - I'm looking forward to that next ultrasound when we can find out whether it's a boy or a girl.

Keep up the good work on your weight loss.  Have you been able to get any more information on whether or not you are going to be able to proceed with your surgery?  I've had that in my prayers and I just know everything is going to work out for you.  Take care and keep me posted on how things are progressing for you.

I havent sent in the letter from my psychiatrist yet so I don't know how it will work out. I'm waiting on a few more things from my PCP and I will send it all in together. I hope the letter will be sufficient. All I know for sure is that my surgeon agreed to accept a letter from my psychiatrist in place of the failed psych eval. I'll keep you posted on the developments. I'm waiting on one more chart note from my pcp. It is ready and waiting but I don't drive and Dail hasn't had a chance to get over there before the office has closed. He works a lot of hours.

Will this be your first grandchild? It will be such a joy. I know you cant wait to find out whether is will be a grandson or a granddaughter. My new grandson is an angel. I don't get to see him as often since they got their own place but just knowing he is around brings me pleasure. I can't wait for christmas time to see him with his gifts. He will be about 6 months old then and should be able to enjoy it a little. I am already shopping for him.

Keep us posted.
Blessings,
Karen

As I said, I'm sure it will all work out for you and you will get your surgery.

Yes, this will be my first grandbaby and I just can't wait.  The ultrasound she had was really good and you could see it's tiny precious face and the definition of it's features already and it looked like it had hair on top of it's head (I told her she was carrying a cabbage patch baby - LOL).  Babies/children are so precious and I just can't wait to start spoiling this one.  Next Christmas should be really fun for us as the baby will be about 8 months old and probably very curious about everything.

Take care and have a great weekend.
