Denied
So sorry you are having problems, Lisa. I was denied twice but it just made me more determined. Don't give up! Call CIGNA and ask what you can do to get the decision turned around. Call your doctor and get a lette for appeal. Call the National Guard! okay maybe I went a little over the edge with the National Guard but you get the picture. Fight Lisa, fight!
I will be your cheerleader!

What can you do?
Fight back and don't give up! I was never denied by CIGNA, but my paperwork was lost or routed to the wrong department 3 times. I called everyday and went from there!
You may also try the Obesity Action Coalition website. They provide a lot of information. In the search box, type in appeal, and it will guide you an that process!

Can you prove that your BMI was high enough for a few years prior to 2004 & 2005? Perhaps that may help show that not only have you been obese for a long period, but that you also made serious diet attempts and were only able to bring your weight down some before gaining it back.
Like the others have said, FIGHT!! Ask your doctor's office for suggestions on where to go from here.
