I posted this on the men's board here on OH and since the Tennessee board means so much to Bob, I wanted to share his major WIN with you.

RockyTop "Rocks the Rockies"

So I get a call yesterday from Bob from Tennessee (aka RockyTop) who was in Denver delivering a load on his truck. Bob wanted to go on a bike ride while he was in the "mile high city."

I met him around noon and we took off to ride the famous Morgul to Bismark cycling loop which is one of the popular routes for hard core bikers out here in Colorado. This loop was made famous back in the days of the Red Zinger and Coors Classic bike race which, at the time, was the largest professional cycling event in the U.S.

It was a glorious day for cycling, sunny skies, 80 degrees, minimal wind and freshly laid blacktop. We quickly rode the eight miles to the loop then the real fun started. The Morgul to Bismark is 20 miles long and has three stiff climbs: The Rollers, The Hump and last but not least, the Wall. Needless to say, this ain't no easy, stroll in the park ride.

RockyTop kicked ass! He rode strong all afternoon and really dug deep to make it up the wall. 35 lung searing miles in total. AWESOME. As an added benefit, he set a personal speed record of 48 mph.

We finished the day with some excellent BBQ at Brothers BBQ and a quality discussion on the "miracles of WLS."

Thanks for the ride RockyTop. You are well on your way to becoming a "cycling Jedi" or so thinks your cycling mentor. Congratulations on a major WIN errrr FART, my friend! Way to stink up Colorado, now get your ass on back to Tennessee.

Thanks for posting this here Boner!  My buddy Bob has turned into a bicycling beast!!  He has made super progress in a very short period of time. I remember just a few weeks ago a couple of miles on the bike was kickin' his butt (still does mine!).  Now, he's puttin' in 30 miles like it is nothing!! Just goes to show what consistency and dedication to exercise can do!

Great job Bob!! You are an inspiration to us all. You could very well say "I drive a truck cross-country for a living and don't have time to exercise", and everyone would say they understood. But, instead, you find ways to make time to exercise - lifting dumbbells, riding your bike in some parking lot in some town along your route, meeting up with Boner to ride for a few miles, etc.  Quite inspiring my man!!

Kudos to ya!!!
