Scott and I along with several parents and our boys got off our butts this a.m. for the Titans game fundraiser.  We raised squat, but walked our butts off to and from the field.  It felt good to be able to walk 1 mile coming and 1 mile going knowing that I didn't have to stop every 1/2 block or so and catch my breath.  I still did hurt though, the arthritus in my legs is not getting better, but is a bit more tolerable not having to carry all of that extra weight.

Weigh in ya'll!!

Beth darn proud of your accomplishment! Keep it up!!!!

Saturday stopped in Hays, KS Rode 18.3 miles, 50 incline sit-ups, 18 pull-ups, 20 push-ups, 30 leg lifts, light weights arms.

Today was a milestone I was in Boulder, CO. with a buddy from the Men's forum who's and X-500lb guy and became a avid bike rider after WLS (Goes by Boner check out his page) he has accomplished so much in two years the Ride of the Rocky's (over 500 miles in the Rocky Mountains! Also the Morgul to Bismark Kevin Costner made famous in The American Flyer there are three major hills the first The Rollrs, Second The Hump the last being the grueling WALL!

Well folks I accomplished the Morgul to Bismark 35 miles! Did every part of it and feel like I could do another 15 miles!
Also broke my speed record 48 mph!
Also this morning did my core workout 50 incline sit-ups, 20 push-ups, 18 pull-ups, 50 leg lifts!
Thanks for letting me brag!

Will I REALLY EVER feel like excercising like this?  Honestly, I really do get winded just reading and thinking about excercising....

I have to tell you Erika I made a promise to my self if I went through WLS I would start exercising. Well it didn't start off easy couple sit-ups, a little walking it didn't start off good but kept plugging away very much like Diane described. Now the soreness is minimal and the sense of accomplishment is priceless. Weight loss seemed to hit high gear and those loose areas are firming up. Its worth the effort. C'ya Bob

That is very encouraging--sometimes I feel like if I can't do all the new habits perfectly BEFORE the surgery, that I won't be successful.  One of the reasons I chose RNY was for the more immediate feedback.  If I can see results more quickly, then I am encouraged to continue.  I could really use some "sense of accomplishment"!
