Up early this morning and walked/jogged 3 miles at the track and to my daughter's house by 7:15 am to keep the 16month old grandson.
We played trucks, cars, hide & seek, danced, read books, snuggled, then this afternoon played chase the bubbles and soccer in the front yard.
......What a beautiful day to be active and alive.

When I am off or sometimes after work, I walk at the track in Ashland City or at the Nature Trail there also. The track is 3/4 mile in distance in a contained area by the river. The Nature trail is 4 miles long.....one way. If I walk that one, I go 1-2 miles in and turn and come back out the same way.
Other times I walk at work in the gym there, also weights and stationary bike.
As for my energy, I have been walking or something since last September. Before that I didn't have any at all. But slowly adding a mile a day for 5-6 days/week got me going. After about a month, I added 5 minutes per week to the time it took. After 3 months, I concentrated on speed and was able to be a mile in 15-17 minutes. Now I can do a mile in about 14-15 minutes and usually get my 3 miles in about 45-50 minutes. My heart rate is up most of that time.
My energy levels are much better now, with all I have done and the 60#'s gone.
Start out slow, and increase the time by 5 minutes per wee****il you can do 30-45 minutes without stopping. Don't worry about speed at first, just move.
PM me sometime, I would love to meet you in AC one day to get to know a Cheatham county lap bander and find an occasional walking parnter.
