going in the hospital tomorrow

Hi everybody!  As some of you know, I've been having some issues with constipation and severe pain in my lower abdomen.  Went for a CT scan today and am going in the hospital tomorrow morning.  I have an abcess in or on my colon and it has to be removed.  I was in the middle of interstate traffic when Dr. McDowell called me so I really didn't have the opportunity to ask all the questions I wanted to ask.  I do know I will be staying overnight.  Please keep me in your prayers for a quick and easy recovery.  I was supposed to fly out Thursday evening going to Florida but I don't know if I'm going to be able to now or not.  Dr. said he would try his best to make sure I make my trip.  That gives me hope that this is not very serious.  I will post as soon as I am able.

We will be thinking about you tomorrow. I'm sure you will be fine. I had I think read about your issues. At least you know now what is going on and that Dr. McDowell is going to take awesome care of you. I do hope you get to go on your trip. Just don't over do it. Keep us posted when you can.

I'm so glad you finally have an answer to why you've been having all this trouble and pain, but I'm sorry to hear it will require surgery.  Oh, but wait, maybe you could ask the good Doc to trim off a few more pounds while he's in there  That would be one way to loose a few more pounds!


Seriously I hope all goes well and you are able to head to Florida on Thursday.  Hopefully this is a trip where you will just sit back and let others take care of you and you just enjoy yourself.  If possible have someone post how the surgery goes tomorrow.
