I think I have a solution to a problem
I propose that the Lunch Bunch date of the 2nd Saturday of the month be kept the same...the 2nd Saturday of the month. This way everyone can plan, budget and truly keep structure in our lives. I hope that is suitable.
My next suggestion is that anyone who would like to join me in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area of Tennessee on that same weekend (10/10 - 10/13), just let me know. There are 3 different families from Nashville that plan on being in East Tennessee on that weekend. I think it would be a great idea for us Middle Tn people and the East Tn people to get together! We can have an East Edition of The Lunch Bunch. Give me a shout and we can coordinate times and places. Just a thought!
Now, on to a more pressing issue. We are adults, not children!!!!!!! We have had some type of surgery to help us lose weight and become healthier. That means we supposedly have a mental capacity to make decisions, something that all of us do on a daily basis! Some decisions are made to help each other, and some are made to be stumbling blocks. Sometimes decisions are made by the powers to be and other times they are made by a consensus. That's just the ways things are.
Personally, I want to Thank Susan for all the hard work she has done in providing direction to the Lunch Bunch. I believe she has gone above and beyond what a lot of people would have done. But I believe there are a lot of people who would do the same thing for the group. For some of our group, The Lunch Bunch is the social outing that they never had. The ability to meet in public with friends of a like mind. For me, it was and is just that. A place to get together, discuss ideas, learn how to order food in a public setting, and be successful!
I personally don't care when, where, how, or why we meet. If I can be there, I will. If I can't, then I won't. Somewhere down the line someone's feelings are going to get hurt! For that I'm sorry. I typically don't want that to happen.
So my suggestion is we keep the Lunch Bunch on the 2nd Saturday of the month. If you can be there, then YEAH!!!!! If you can't, I hope everything is fine and you can join us next month!

For me, I'm going to ignore it and try to be a supportive weight loss surgery person!

With the way you are losing, I thin we could stick ya in the trunk and know one would notice! LOL!
Sorry to hear about your Dad's hospital stay, and your Mom's sickness. We will keep them in our prayers! Most important, take care of yourself! It's the same thing I tell parents that I teach, "You can't take care of your children, if you don't take care of yourself".

Hey Scott, I agree with keeping it the second Saturday each month. I don't expect it to change just because I can't be there. To bad my income doesn't allow trips to Gatlinburg, but y'all have fun. I expect pics.

I too agree regarding Susan. The lunch bunch first started with Toni Miller and i getting together. Then Susan join us along with Laura B. The next one was with Melinda. She was approved 4 days later for her surgery. That was 2 years ago. Look how far our lunch bunch has come!!!! I enjoy when I can come and afford it.
