Ok I know.........I know I am way early for this.........but I would like to see us have the October Lunch Bunch on the 18th instead of the 11th like normal. We will be starting Phil's liquids that next week. So this will be like his last WOOHOO before the liquids start. We have alot going on next month, with weekend trips, working, ect. I know of at least 8 people that will not be able to attend on the 11th. So we are trying to get everything in for October. I would also like to suggest IHOP @ Hickory Hollow. We had a great time last time we was there. So post your input and see if this will work for everyone. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Dinner Club on the 26th at Red Robin @ Mt. Juliet.

Also, don't forget that the Walk is this Sat. if you haven't signed up to volunteer and or registered to Walk, the time is running out. There is going to be a 1 mile loop that you can walk as little or as much as you can. I will not be able to do the whole one mile, so I am just going to walk around the pond, with that said, I don't want to do that by myself, so if anyone else has issues with the full mile, let me know and we can walk around the pond together.

Hope everyone is having a great day.

Cheryl

Hey the 18th works for us!  RJ plays football at 10:30 that day in Woodbine.  So, we would be able to make the game, and then have lunch with you guys!

Wow, I love it when a plan comes together!

Edited to add:  I forgot, Beth and I are out of town on the weekend of Oct 10-13!  So this works out even better!

So far count me in.  I have a workshop one weekend that month but I'm thinking it's the next weekend.  Will find out this weekend and let you know.

Okay--I really want to come--but I have to have help remembering!  I'm the ONLY Marchese in the MJ phone listings--so would someone pretty please call me? If you PM me I will give you my #.  Thanks!

The second Saturday of the month was decided on so that people could easily keep track of when the Lunch Bunch would meet. If we start moving it around it will quickly become very confusing for everyone's schedules.

Y'all can flame me if you wish but I say we keep it on October 11th as scheduled. The Hickory Hollow IHOP is fine for location but the date needs to be kept the same. There are other folks who will not be able to make it on the 18th because of work or other previous committments but they can make it on the 11th.

Also, we can still celebrate Phil's last Lunch Bunch before he joins the Loser's Bench.

I must agree with Susan. There have been other times that it was suggested to move the lunch bunch. One was during Susan's plastic surgery recovery and it was not changed. She missed it that month, it was not even moved for her (our lunch bunch inventor and dorm mother). So I dont think it should be moved at all for sake of fairness.

And, there have been folks at every stage come to Lunch Bunch...during their liquid diets (such as Chandra at the picnic) and folks who are on liquids right after their surgery (Shelia and others). Its part of the growth process, for everyone to see one another and learn about the different stages on the journey.

Well gosh I guess I opened a big ole can of worms..........lol I didn't think this was going to be such a big deal, just changing the date by one week, not like I was wanting to change and not have it at all, but obviously (sp) I was wrong. And I did post for everyone to see, I was not trying to sneak around with PM's or emails about the details and not let anyone know.  It's funny that there was no response to my post until I answered Susan's PM when she asked who the 8 people were that could not make the 11th. Once that was done, here come the post. I did not mean to step on anyones toes with this, again I didn't think it was going to be a big deal. Anyway I was just making a suggestion, like so many others do on here. So, we won't be there on the 11th. wherever ya'll choose to have it. Maybe we will be able to make the next one in Nov. but we will just have to wait and see. This was just going to be Phil's last meal before we start his liquids, so I don't think it would fall into the other situations, mentioned, but that is just my two cents.

But anyway, I posted it and asked for input and I got it.......lol So what is done is done and what has been said has been said. We all have enough things going on in our lives, without fussing about where, when, what to eat, and who or who not to eat with.

No explanations or apologies are needed from anyone...  it never hurts to ask or give an opinion, which both of us have done.

I am not going to allow you to make me the bad guy here. Let's get it all out.

I responded to your post before I ever read your reply to my PM. Once I read your reply I realized that the private conversations about changing the date had already taken place and that the 8 people who can't make it on the 11th "and (you're) not even sure they can on the 18th" are Scott, Beth & RJ; Shelia, Todd & Dale; and you & Phil.

Like I said in my response to your PM. There are some who work every other Saturday and the second Saturday allows them to attend. There are others who don't get on the computer much but know the Lunch Bunch meets the second Saturday so all they have to check on is the location. If we start changing the date to try and accomodate some we will run into the issue of who to accomodate. Keeping to a regular schedule lets everyone know months in advance the dates we will meet so they can plan their budget and personal schedule accordingly.

I'm sorry you obviously feel offended by my response. I am just considering the group as a whole.

I don't think that I was trying to make you or anyone the bad guy. It was just a suggestion. Like I said earlier what is done is done and what has been said has been said. I am not offended, by any of the post, they are just opinions like mine. I am just posting my feelings. As far as the private conversations, this was my idea and my idea only to mention to change the date. I was checking with other's from the board not just the ones mentioned. So I figured that there was enough of us to make it on the 18th, so I posted to hopefully get more folks to come. No matter when/where we meet, these lunches/dinners are suppose to be for support, no matter what stage of the journey any of us are in and we all still need the support.
