I am sick and tired of...
Scott,
I will gladly pitch in my part of your bail money. Hey if I am anywhere near, I will help you and then we will just sit in our cell and laugh about it. LOL
I don't know why folks think they have carte blanch to tell us these things. I think mostly they are jealous but it does wear on the nerves.

Not to worry Scott! They're probably just thinking about how the "old Scott" looked and it's mind-boggling to them when compared to the "new Scott". They probably don't really mean anything bad by it, just having trouble comprehending the new-look you!! You know, like how when some folks see an obese person they sometimes say "Man, they sure are "healthy"!"?
We know that's not the truth. For some reason, some people think if you lose a lot of weight you must not be healthy.
You look great brother!!![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/thumbsup2.gif)

Scott,
I remember last year when I saw my friend Cindy for the first time after her surgery. She had lost over 100 pounds. I was shocked by her appearance and at first thought she looked too thin. But, as the day wore on, I realized that she was more active and more vivacious than she had ever been and this was after completely planning, implementing and cooking for her daughter's wedding! So what I thought was too thin was obviously fine for her. Plus seeing her gave me the motivation to have the surgery as well. I think you look great, and I can tell you feel good. But, like my Daddy always said there are two sides to every coin. People aren't used to the change yet. I certainly have had no one tell me that I am too thin, but the last time I went up to my hospital for a meeting, they all said I didn't need to lose any more weight! WHATEVER!

Scott:
Remember that it doesn't matter what others say (especially if they are socially retarded!) I saw you "before" and I've seen you "after." There has been a drastic change in your appearance as well as Beth's. You two just keep getting better looking every day! I am so happy that you feel as good as you look.
As others have stated, there will always be negative people but you must remember that they can't have an effect on you unless you are a willing participant. You can't get mad at ignorance...it isn't productive! You are a wonderful success story and I'm proud to have you as my friend!
Big smile!

If I had had the Lapband surgerey as I originally intended I wasn't going to tell anyone but immediate family because the weight loss was sloweer. When I decided to have the RNY instead I decided to tell everyone because the weight loss is suppose to be so dramatic. I didn't want anyone to think I had cancer or something. Now of course everyone is watching me like a hawk. Only time will tell if people think I get too thin.
We all know you are healthier then you've ever been and look great. As for the bond money, just give Jim and I a call and buddy we will be there for you.

Hi Scott,
I heard all of that too...but I kept reminding people that it was likely I would gain a little back after I stopped losing, so I wasn't worried...in fact neither was my doctor. I did end up gaining about ten or twelve pounds back after my lowest weight loss, and nobody makes any more cancer statements to me or tells me I am too thin.
You are a success! Way to go!
