My surgeon's leaving!

I received a letter yesterday telling me that my surgeon has taken a new position in another state and won't be able to do my surgery when the time comes. I feel like I'm going to have to start all over again even though the remaining surgeons in the office are quite acceptable alternatives.

Hon I know exactly how you feel, it happened to 3x's. But I finally caught one, and he was terrific, so don't give up!! You are gonna be fine, and things are gonna turn out alright. Hugs and luv com'n your way, I know that you are frustrated, that is normal. Barb MyNiceSpace.com

Thanks for the encouraging words, Barb. It is frustrating because I really like Dr. Scott. There are two other surgeons in that office that I can choose from. Both are equally good and nice enough. They just don't have the same easy bedside manner. We'll see where the road takes me, though. Rebecca

Hang in there! 

I know it feels like you are starting over, but everyday is a new day.  A new day to start over.

I had that happen with me with Dr Husted in Nashville a few years ago.  He wanted me to come out to California to have my surgery but even though he is a fabulous surgeon I couldn't justify the extra $3000-$4000 in travel expenses.  It was expensive enough to go to Clarksville from Sevierville!
