Life sucks

Things are going from bad to worse. I saw a surgeon las week for a  hernia that doubled in size in  month and he told me I had at least 3 hernias. He said it felt like swiss cheese behind my scar. So they set up a date for the surgery Sept 16th at Jackson general and sent me over for the preadmission testing, well they called today about the chest x-ray. They found a mass in one of my lungs and I have to go for a cat scan this Friday.
The good news is i'm down to 135.6 this morning only 20 more lbs to go. Before you say that is to light I am only 4'11 1/2" tall.
Thank goodness the garden is almost done. The canning, freezing and drying the food has kept me busy.
We spend half our days exercing. We do our 3 mile walk, 45 minutes of aerobics and 45 minutes on our new weight machine.
I hope everyone will say a prayer that every thing will turn out ok for me and Howard. They still don't know what is causing his anemia. I just pray that we go close to each other because who ever is left behind will be lost because we have no other family.
Sorry to go on for so long. Everyone take care of yourselves.  Birdy

Birdy,
You are in my prayers.  Hernias are unfortunately not uncommon after our surgeries but they can be fixed.  I will pray that the mass is nothing.  Take care of your self and don't work too hard!

Thanks for the prayers Marilyn. If it wasn't for the work I would be bored to death. I'm lucky I love most of the work I do except for house work. I love working and cleaning in the kitchen but the rest of the house is a bore and I didn't train my hubby to do house work.  Birdy

Hey there Birdy!

I'm so sorry to hear about all of your challenges.  I hope that they will be able to identify the mass and tell you that it is nothing to worry about.  You are in my prayers!

Thanks Freddie. Life sometimes throws us curves and with me it never stops at one. Oh well I have always been a little different for some reason.  Birdy

Birdy praying that things go well
for you and your husband Howard.

Drs can do so much nowadays.

You have all that good garden food to eat while you
recuperate from your hernia surgery anyway.
