After Gastric Bypass surgery are you restricted to how much liquids you can drink? (Water)

Liquids before and after the surgery are really encouraged. They do require that you start out slowly with a small amount after the surgery, but in the days that follow you will need to really sip, sip, sip. Personally, I don't have a limited restriction as I don't think anyone else here does. I sip or eat ice chips almost all day.

It has alot to do with who your Surgeon is, and what hospital, but ditto on what Diane said. Actually right after the surgery, you just want something wet in the mouth. And those sponges that they wet and put into your mouth are wonderful, along with the folks that god sends to help you, during this time that you are incoherent.
