Everyone!
Its been 6 months since my hubby and I started the process of having the RNY surgery.
We have learned so much thanks to this board and others willing to share their everyday
journey.
We now have a firm surgery date set for the both of us!
Everything has seemed to happen so fast and the process has been smooth-- I hope this is a  good sign :)

When they called with the date  (we didnt pick the dates) I was expecting something around November or December.
We both have a date in September!
Hubby is September 2
Mine is September 22
September  23 Just so happens to be our 15th  wedding aniversery !! --- I hope this is another good sign ...LOL :)

In one week hubby starts the liquid diet!!

congrats on the surgery dates. Hubby should be feeling up to taking care of you for a few days by the time you have surgery.

Congratulations too on your wedding anniversary. My husband and I will celebrate 35 years on that same day. It seems September 23rd is a very good day!

Thanks Susan,
WoW ~you are the 3rd person Iv met with the same DAY! Congrats to your upcomming 35th!!!
Sept is a very good month :)

We had discussed taking care of each other, and losing the weight together.
This is hubbys 1st surgery ever. I have had 4 Cesections --so its not that new to me.

Im glad it worked out where he is going first. I was a little worried that he might not be up and moving well by the end of the month, but from what I have seen so far every one is up and walking pretty well by the 1st week.  So hopefully It will be pretty easy for him to take over and be able to drive and everything.

WOW!  2 dates, one family, new health...priceless!

Congrats to both you and your husband.  There are very few of us couples around, so that makes it very special.  My wife had her surgery on 7/15/08 and I had mine on 12/18/08.  From our highest, we have lost a total of 350 pounds!  Just think of the support you can offer to each other, it will be amazing!

So let me offer this "HAPPY DANCE" just to show how excited we are for you!

Janice and Hubby,
CONGRATULATIONS!  We look forward to seeing both of you on the loser's bench.  Now, start gathering in protein samples, sugar free jello, bottled water, and sugar free popsicles!  This is just great news!
