Another suggestion for scars, is lavendar oil with vitamin E.  I used it after a recent hand surgery and when I went back to for my six week check up he was amazed how great the healing and how little scarring was.

Yet, even though that worked for me on my hand surgery, I've printed off this receipe and put it in my post - op file, I might still be a couple of months from surgery, but I'm getting there!

Southernmsfriday,

When I shared this recipe on MakeMeHeal.com last year, several said that they did not like the smell of it...  and some of them added a nice pleasant lavender or other lotion to make it more "presentable". LOL.  So you can do that as well.  I had originally used vitamin E on my breast reduction scars, but it did not take the scars away.  Later, several years later, when I used this cream, wow it reduced them to a real minimum!

Thank you Marilyn for bringing this up, I was wondering where I could find this recipe again, because I wanted to use it and I also have very dry skin. Thanks for the recipe Mel!

Ron went out and bought the Ponds cold cream for me and I already had EVOO.  I mixed it all up in with my mortar and pestle.  It worked great and I am storing it in a small glad container.  I really like this stuff.  The surgeon told me to massage the scar several times a day for several months, so I am already doing that and now adding the cream.  It is bound to help!  Thanx ya'll!
