Protein in Smaller Containers??
I am about to have surgery on monday and am finishing up on the liquid diet. Here are the ones that I have had and I liked.
Myoplex Lite - Strawberry (they also have vanilla and chocolate, I think that vanilla is the worst tasting, but still ok).
BSN Dessert - Cinnamon Roll flavor - I bought this at the Vitamin Shoppe. I mixxed two scoops with 8oz of water (or one scoop with 4oz water). I also add one packet of Splendia and 1oz of the sugar free Da Vanci French Vanilla syrup. I love it! You can get the sugar free syrups at Marshalls most times.
I have also tried the protein bullets mixed in crystal lite and they taste good at well. I mix a whole 25G fruit punch (or 1/2 42gm fruit punch) in with the lemonade crystal lite to go with the 16.9 oz of water. To me it tastes like fruity lemonade.
I hope that this helps!
Michael.

Right now, you are able to enjoy the proteins and even add extra splenda to them. But the day of surgery, your tastes change so much. The sweetness just from the product alone (no added splenda) will probably make you gag and not want those any longer. I would not be suprised all together if you don't even like what you are drinking now. The taste buds really do change that much... almost have a heightened sensitivity, too much at times. We try to discourage someone from buying a lot of protein powders before surgery. My old roommate had 18 bottles of Isopure in his fridge for after surgery. He came home, drank one and threw it up. He hated the stuff immensely. So what you like right now, you probably won't later.
And, it will take awhile before you even like food again.

I would like to remind you that right now your tastes are really different. I would hold on to the protein powders that you do not like right now, and in just awhile you may like them. You are extremely sensitive to the sweet tastes and probably it makes you gag. As you progress and adapt, however, that will change.
I would suggest perhaps the protein bullets as they are smaller in ounces and pack a high protein punch. I can provide you with a sample of different protein powders you may not have tried yet, just pm if interested.
