Anyone have UHC? Please read!!

I am getting a revision from lapband to RNY and wondered if anyone has used UHC and how long they took to approve? I'm 99.9% positive I have everything I need..I see the cardic dr next monday for surgery clearance and then on to preop labs etc. I'm just curious as to how long they've taken to approve anyone else??? I live in Dayton and have UCH through Lazy Boy.

Our UHC had an exclusion of any wls so I got it done with my medicare. So I don't know how long it will take if UHC doesn't have an exclusion.

I have had UHC for 3 years.  Initially, my policy (with a low deductible) had a WLS exclusion.  Then the policy changed, my deductible went up $800, but there was no WLS exclusion.  I think it took me exactly one week to get approved for my band.  I submitted everything they wanted and luckily, didn't run into any problems.

Great news ! I was told by my surgeon I wouldnt have any problems..I know they do cover if medically necessary..I'd really like to find someone who had a revision and was covered by UHC..anyone out there??
