It's been a while since I have been on the computer (had problems with the networks).  I had my 2nd fill on July 22.  My next  fill in Sept. 3rd.  I haven't been able to really tell a difference yet with the fills.  Is this normal?  It is really discouraging because I read where certain foods will upset your stomach after the lapband surgery.  So far none of this has happened to me.   I find myself getting depressed and eating more than I should like snacking on junk food.  I even ate some of those little white donuts this past week  I don't even know what I bought them!!!  I knew at the time that I should not.  When will this band ever kick in?  I think that I only have something like .6 in it.  What is the normal fill?  thanks for the feedback.

I can feel your pain. I'm going today to get a fill, this will be the first one since way back in April. I have had insurance issues. Usually it takes a week or so for the fill to kick in. So just hang in there and keep your chin up. I have been eating more protien bars than I should, I am really worried as to what those darn scales are going to say this morning. Other than eating more protien bars, I haven't really eaten bad, maybe just another spoonful of things, and maybe a cracker or two. But I know even that will throw me for a loop. I am just hoping that today will get me back on track once again. I'm not sure how much I have in mine right now, because they have taken out and put back in I have lost count. I will be finding out today. Good luck.

I invite you to come over to the lapband forum and you will get lots of support and answers to your questions.

To answer this questions yes, sometimes it takes a few fills to get to the correct level where you start losing weight good and feel resistriction without being hungry.

Some things I can't eat are just about any kind of bread, every once in a while I can do a piece of toast, but that's ok I don't miss it. I can tolerate just about everything else just in very small portions. I can't sometimes eat till after lunch so I will do yogurt, oatmeal or a shake for breakfast.

Give it time and it will work, please come over to the lapband forum where you will get lots of support. I post on this site and the lapband forum because both are very good places.
