Just Checking in!
HI everyone. Just wanted to jump on here and check in. Everything is kind of hectic with a newborn. Sleep is far and few between. But hopefully everything will start to get back to some sort of schedule or normalcy (if that is possible). I apprecate everyones support and Thanks to April and Juanita for posting for me.
Aliyah Renee was born at 1:27 pm on Tuesday 8/5 weighing 8 lbs 3 oz and 21 inches long. The labor and delivery far exceeded my expectations in a good way. It could not have went any better. Unfortunately, I personally had some complications after the birth and had to have an emergency surgery with a DNC and a blood transfusion with a couple bags of blood. I lost lots of blood and almost had to have a hysterectomy to save my life but they were able to stablize me before that. I am still recovering and borderline needing another transfusion but for now, I am building my strength back and getting better everyday. It was very scary for me and my family and it still upsets me to think about it now and what could have happened to me before I ever got to even meet my baby. However, I don't want to remember those complications and what happened afterwards. It was a blessed day and a great delivery ****il then) and my baby is here. So, I don't want that to be what I remember about the day my baby was brought into my life. In the end, we are both doing great.
I put a couple pictures on my profile of her from the hospital. Although, I think she changes everyday. She is already getting spoiled! Especially by her daddy who is infatuated with her. I thought the men were supposed to be jealous of the new baby but I find I am more jealous that he has a new #1! haha.
I plan to be at the Obesity Walk and can't wait to see everyone again. I hope everyone is doing great. Talk to you soon!

Misty - She is absolutely gorgeous. I'm sorry to hear of your medical troubles after her delivery, but it sounds like your medical staff were on top of things and got things quickly under control. I'm glad you are doing better and on the mend. Enjoy your sweet bundle of joy - they grow up quick (mine will be 21 on the 26th and I still can't seem to figure out where all the time went). Hope to meet you and her at the Walk. Take care and keep us posted on how you all are doing.

Glad to see you posting Misty. I'm sorry to hear about your complications, but it sounds like you're on the mend. I'd love to come over to help you out if you need a break! I'm just 15 minutes away. My mother in law is always looking for an excuse to keep Nick lol so he won't be in the way ;-) Just let me know..anytime! Aliyah is beautiful.
