Home again, home again

jigity, jig!  I got home yesterday afternoon.  IV steroids and I don't get along well.  I had been awake for about 36 hours straight!  They gave me some valium and that helped.  I slept a lot yesterday.  It is really hard to find a good position to sit or lie in for more that a minute or two.  My voice has come back completely, unfortunately for Ron!  But, I am still mostly on liquids or very soft foods.  Ron is learning how to make all my protein shakes!  Still in lots of pain, but have all the appropriate drugs to take care of it.  My neurosurgeon was great!  No driving, exercise of any type, or doing much of anything for 2 weeks. Now, just waiting for a speedy recovery.  Hope all of you are doing well.  Thanks so much for the notes, prayers, and well wishes.  It means so much when you are down!

So gald you are finally home, and even though it is hard for you to get comfortable, I'm sure you are glad to be home. I know when we talked to you the other day, your voice was rough sounding......lol. So you sounds like you are going to make Ron a liquid chef.......lol. I'm sure he is doing just fine on nursing you back to health. Just take it easy and do as they say and you will be up dancing in no time. Keep us posted on your progress when you can. Let us know if we can doing anything for ya'll.

There is no place like home to recuperate. Hopefully you will be able to find a comfortable position and get some rest. Take care of yourself!

Hey!

So glad you are home and doing well.  I'm at Meg's holding vigil for the baby to come!  If we don't have serious action by this evening, I'll go home and go to work tomorrow.  I have a couple of assessments to do, then come back.  If she starts moving faster, I'll stay.  I think she is in early labor, but contractions are still pretty far apart.  Nothing consistent yet, at her appt. Friday, they said she was about 2 cm and 50% effaced.  I'll keep you posted.

Love you,

C
