Hello Janice and Neena!!!!!
Hello everyone! I didn't know you dolls cared......lol Just kidding I know everyone on here is very warm and caring.
I just wanted to let you all know that I'm still here and doing fine. I have been shopping/walking two days in a row and loving it. It's so hot outside,so I went to Wally World with a friend and we shopped around for some things and then we went to some other places and today I went out and did a little food shopping, which I find kind of hard since I turn my nose up at everything now, but I did get plenty of sugar free drink mixes and the foods for the next phase of this wonderful life. I am so thrilled and overjoyed and I don't have one regret about this surgery. I'm lovin' life now for sure.
You know some people try to keep the fact that they've had this surgery under wraps, but not me. I've had people watching me that I didn't even know was doing it. There's this one cashier at Wal-Mart, when I got to her register yesterday she just plainly asked me, how much weight have you lost now........I was like OMG people are watching me for real. I went to Kroger's today and a long time acquaintance of the family told me she noticed that I have been losing weight and we chatted and she told me she was so happy for me. It's just all too amazing to me and that goes to show that we never know who's watching our lifestyles. Spooky,
but I feel honored.
Before I go I will tell you all that I bought some new scales and I just couldn't resist weighing myself after 12 days and to my surprise I now weigh 298 pounds.
The morning of surgery I had gotten down to 312. I am so confused I don't know if I should laugh or cry I'm so happy. I will not weigh again until Tuesday at my first post-op appointment. My oldest brother finally got the hang of the surgery and was laughing this morning when I told them how much I weigh now. We talked as we were coming from the store and he said to me, well..........you're gonna be just little bitty.............LOL that was sweet of him and I'm glad he now understands why I had to go thru this surgery, it was to save my life. I could not have more inspirational people than what I have here on this forum. Thank you all very much for your kindness, concern and support.
P.S. I'm sure I'll hit a pot hole here and there and I will be looking to you all for answers.

My sister and I use to do what we called the Wally World mile, once around the whole store--then up and down each isle, then once around again to the cash register if we bought anything..
We never felt like going to the mall to do the mile so we did it there....LOL

Diane you are doing just aweseom. We are all very proud of you. You are right, you never know who is watching you. I went last week to City Clerk office where I live and a lady came over to the desk where her co worker was helping me and told her. " This lady right here is just amazing, you would not believe how much weight she has lost. I see her at the YMCA a lot and it is unreal how far she has come." I was beside myself. I had seen this lady before but could not place her. Funny though like you said you never know who is watching... : )
Wow Diane you are doing really great!!! I'm been out runniing errands but not walking all over Wal-Mart! My plan for tomorrow is to go to my church and walk a little on the indoor track. I know I have to get my strength built back up.

So glad to see you are posting and doing well...
Please be careful to not over do it... I remember when I was home from the hospital about a week and a half or two weeks later, I decided I was feeling really well and wanted to go to Walmart. I got about half way across the store and thought I was gonna die.... It was not a pretty sight... LOL
