Sinus Surgery Today

My surgery today went well. It only lasted about 10 minutes. I should have asked more questions and then I wouldn't have worried so much before hand. The packing and the splints were not necessary like I had thought so I feel pretty good. I do have a killer headache from the swelling but hopefully my dear hubby will be home in a little while with some pain meds. I was worried about not being able to breathe through my nose for a few days and I guess that is still happening even without the packing. I'm very congested and I'm not supposed to blow my nose the clear it. Not fun or pleasant to let it drain down onto a mustache bandage. What a sight I am ! Still, it could have been much worse and I'm feeling better than I thought I would. Thanks to those of you who sent happy thoughts my way.

Great news Karen, those sinuses can sure cause alot of trouble to be so small.  Hope thing continue to go well and hopefully you have gotten to take those pain pills by now.

Thanks, Darlene. Dail brought home the pain meds after work and after about an hour I was feeling much better. I guess the pain and pressure was from the swelling. It is about 5 am and I woke up and am wide awake. The pain is still gone though.
