Found a new food
Last weekend while at World Market in Hendersonville, I found something of interest. It's a box meal of Madras Lentils made by Tasty Bite Italian Cuisine. It says "All Natural, Vegetarian". Lentils, red beans and spices in a creamy tomato sauce, vegetarian, gluten free, no MSG, no preservatives, kosher. I decided to try it. the picture on the box looks just like chili.
It comes in a silver thick bag which you slice open, and I put it into a bowl to save half in because its got 2 servings (5 oz ea). Here are the stats:Serving Size: 1/2 pack (5 oz)
Calories: 120
Fat: 5
Total carbs: 14 minus 5 dietary fibers = 9 net carbs

It tastes so good! I loved it. I am not a big chili powder lover, but this has a hint of chili powder taste, very mild, and the tomato sauce does not burn my insides going down. Most chili has a stinging bite. Ingredients: water, tomatoes, lentils, red beans, onions, cream, salt, butter, sunflower oil, chilies, cumin. It is worth a try. You can chop up some green onion on top, put some sour cream and cheese on it, and either some hamburger or chicken, wow that would make it even better. It definitely helped me think outside my box today.
