Still in Hospital

Hi guys,

Thank you so much for the prayers and thoughts/  Ron brought the laptop up to the hospital so I could read the board.  I will be in the hospital for a few more days. Maybe go home on Saturday.  The MRSA reared its ugly head even with the Vancomycin, so I will be here a couple of extra days/  Plus, I have a lot of swelling and they put me on IV steroids every 6 hours which of course raises my blood sugars.  But, all in all, I think I am doing ok.  I can certainly tell a difference in my recovery being 118 pounds lighter.  I can't eat because of the swelling, so protein shakes are my friend.  I am so glad ya'll advised me to bring protein shakes!  Otherwise, I would have nothing.  This morning my full liquids tray consisted of cream of wheat, orange juice with sugar and regular yogurt with sugar.  So, Ron made me a leean dessert frappucino with my coffee.  I want you all to know how much I appreciate each and every one of you.  I feel so blessed to have ya'll as friends even though I live so far away.  Sorry about the spelling and typing...morphine!

I am glad that things are going well for you.  And thank God that Ron had your protein! You surely don't want to get dumping on the orange juice!  Take care of yourself and post when you can.  Don't over do things.  You are a nurse...  and you know how important it is to get rest!

Hey girl, good to see ya a posting. Hate to hear about the MRSA, we know all about that. I'm sure that even though it is rough, it would be so much harder if you had not lost that 118. Gald you got your protien with you. If you have to send Mr. Ron to a Wally World for supplies......lol You take care and get some rest. Like Melinda said you are a nurse and you know what to do and not to do. Keep us posted when you can. Let us know if we can do anything at all for you or Ron.

I maybe late with this post, but I want you to know that I am praying for your speedy recovery and will be back to work soon.  I know that you LOVE your job and hate not being there.  Get plenty of rest and take care!!

Marilyn,
I'm sorry to hear you are still in the hospital. I know you would rather be home. I hope everything clears up soon and that the swelling goes down. Hang in there and remember you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Blessings,
Karen
