I know that Phil posted about John. He is home and doing pretty good. He is and as long as I have know has been a smoker. The doctor told him and us yesterday that he is going to "have" to quit. I just hope that he has made up his mind to quit.
Now not only was he a Skyline with his problems. I have a cousin at Vandy, he had a bike wreck and he was flipped over the handle bars. He had to have 50 stiches in his chin and his jaw wired shut along with many cuts and scraps. I also, have another cousin at Summit that had to have a D&C done yesterday, she had been bleeding really bad over the weekend. I have a aunt that was released from Baptist, with heart dropsy(sp) and they told her that there was not much else they could do for her and she has to keep oxygen on 24/7. She usually weigh's maybe 90 pounds and when she went home she was almost 140, she has so much fluid it is unreal.
So we had 4 family members at 4 different hospitals having major surgery/test yesterday. We are pooped to say the least. I'm sure that we have went WAY over our limits on our cell phone usuage, especaily since they was used so much during peak time yesterday. But you do what you have to do in these cases.
I hope everyone's week is going better than our's.

Cheyl,
Sounds like you are getting a dose of bad luck right now. I am so sorry you had so many folks down and at different hospitals too. I hope you have had this years supply now and the rest of your year will be great. I will keep you in my prayers that you don't have to spread yourself to thin. I know it is easier said than done and I should take my own advice but try to keep a few minutes for your self each day and regroup, don''t get down cause then you can't help anyone. Sorry I didn't get to spend anytime talking to you Sat. but I am goiing to try to make some Lunch bunch/dinners and lunches this year.

Thanks Darlene, I too hope things slow down for us. As far as spreading my self slim, well if I spread "me" out enough at least that will get rid of some of this weight......lol. But on the serious side, I know what you mean for sure. I totally understand about Sat at least we got to finally meet after all the talking/posting we have been doing. I hope that you can make it down here, we would love to have you and others to join us sometime. Is there other times/days that would work better for ya'll? If so just let us know and I'm sure that we can work something out.

Wow Cheryl that is a lot of people spread out and I know that you and Phil are exhausted. I'll keep your family in my prayers. Maybe John can use the patch to stop smoking. My mom smoked for 42 yrs. and was a two pack a day smoker and the patch saved her. She has had cancer, strokes and several brain surgeries due to an AVM on her brain but now she is smoke free. You and Phil take care of yourselves.
Thanks Rita, and yep we are just about pooped to say the least. John has tried the patch before and it didn't work, but he didn't use it like he was suppose to either. So he has to "decided" he wants to quit before he can. Kinda like us and the weight loss. We are just going to try to "support" him with it not sounding like we are fussing and if we do it is only because we love him. Glad to hear the patch worked for your mom and doing better. My mom smoked for about that long and decided one day to just put them down. She was one of the lucky ones, it wasn't that hard for her.
