Upset stomachs

For some reason, my stomach has leashed hellfire and brimstone against me.  Every time I eat anything with artificial sweetener(it seems) or any sugar free product, my goodness it does not matter if its a pinch or half a piece, my stomach hurts in my lower abdomen. It feels like its cramping as if I am going to have my period, but its not time for that plus it is only after I eat.  And then comes the gas.  My goodness it is the  most wretched stuff....

I don't know what's going on...  but I did several days of full liquids last week and seemed to get myself straightened up because food was hurting me.  Well really, its most foods that is doing this and causing the problems....  I am afraid, and I want to know what you all know, that it could be a twisted bowel. . Does anyone know or had this?

I don't have a clue what it could be, but my friend, I think you need to be heading to the doctor to find out what is going on.  If most foods are bothering you, I can almost see what is going to happen.  You are going to pretty much stop eating and then you are going to be dealing with malnutrition and you don't want to go there.  So, just pick up the phone and call Dr. Hottie - oops, I mean Dr. Houston and see  how quickly they can see you.  Don't sit on this and wait, better to go and be told it's nothing than to sit on it and wind up in the emergency room with a major issue.

I would agree with Wendy, I would call the Dr. and at least talk to someone about what has been going on. Take care of yourself. Melissa

Dr Houston can't see me til July 31st. I did make an appt.  But I am monitoring my food intake and logging how i feel.  I don't think its twisted bowel cause i would be vomiting.  I don't vomit and the pain is not all the time.  I am going back to the ob and see if its something there, again.

Melinda,
Are the sugar free items things with sugar alcohols? Sugar alcohols can wreak havoc in your intestine. It can cause dumping in people who haven't even had wls. Check the products before you eat and see if there are sugar alcohols in them.
Blessings,
Karen
