We Now Interrupt for a Commercial Break
OK Believe it or not... I saved you some clearance items at the local Madison/Goodlettsville/Rivergate or whatever you call that area Vitamin Shoppe.
They have protein bars, OH Yeah, with the nuts in them for 1.35. These are normally 2.69! I got 5 peanut butter strawberry (sounds gross but they are good) and approx 10 vanilla caramel. OK my OCD/Hoarding mentality got "some of the best of me" but not all.... Now let me add that these do have sugars in them. But I do not normally eat over 2 bites of them at a time. I cut up one of each and put in a plastic container to keep them fresh, and they will last me a few weeks. So if you like to eat half of a bar at a time, be cognizant of the sugars
They also had some protein containers "Gold Standard" in Egg Nog and Gingerbread but since I have never tried them, I did not want to purchase. Stats looked good, 120 calories, 23 g protein, 0 sugar, I think 4 carbs?
As always, I bought one of each of the Oh Yeah bars since I hadn't tasted these before. I opened and taste tested them as the cashier was still checking me out (on the register, that is, not checking me out as in flirting. HAHA). Anyway, best get on down there before they are gone. They did have some other items, but let's just say Melinda couldn't handle the pressure and got them all.
