Hello Everyone

  Just wanted to drop you all a line.  I've been reading the post for the last couple of weeks and enjoy it.  The questions and answers seem to be very helpful.  I live around Bowling Green area and like most of you drive a pretty good way to see the Doctor at Vanderbilt.
  I' m past my seminar and first visit with Dr. Richards at Vandy.  Seems to be a nice fellow.  Also past first visit with nutritionist, very nice young lady. Second visit with nurse and first visit with psycho next week, second visit with nutritionist first week august.  Aetna insurance. Hoping to find the knife by Sept-Oct timeframe.  Hope to be able to ask you all about any questions that may pop up. Regards.

Hello So glad to hear from someone who is going to Vandy. I am a patient there also. It soundss like we are in about the same point in our journwy. I go back next Monday to weight in. I need to be at 212lbs. I have 3.8 to lose. I am trying so hard but don't know what the scale will say on Monday. My scales and their are never exactly the same. I have Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Tennessee. I also hope to have surgery by Sept -October. Let's try to keep in touch. Feel free to email me anytime. I hope to lose down to 135lbs.(someday)

Anita, you are gonnna be fine, There are several of here that have woren your shoes, you are in great hands. Vandy is wonderful. I wouldn't change my  experience for anything. You can do it.!!!! And by the way Congratulations Glitters

Hi William, welcome to the OH family.  I live in Franklin so I know all about the drive to Nashville.  I have to go tomorrow for my 6 month checkup.  FYI, they have support group meetings at the health and wellness center in the mall.  Had one tonight.  I was gonna go but I didn't make it up there.  I also have aetna insurance.  I had my approval six days after the papers were submitted.  Good Luck and welcome to the board.

Dr. Richards did my surgery and I think he is first class. He knows his stuff! The staff at Vandy is great too. Follow what they say and you will do great!!
