55 today - where did the years go???
So, today is my 55th birthday. I spent the day "celebrating" by building a picket frence at my son's house. All I have left is to build the double gate tomorrow. Lost a lot of fluids, even though I drank about 1 1/2 gallons of lemonade and water. It sure was hot and humid out there.
Then this evening, my family came over for a cookout. Mama, sister, kids, and 4 grandkids - it was a lot of fun watching the grandkids play.
Man - 55 years old today - I find myself wondering where the years have gone. Seems like just a couple of years ago that I was turning 25. Sheeeeeeesssshhh!! Seems that what they say is true - the older ya get the faster time seems to go!!
One thing's for sure though - my WLS is gonna help me be healthier, more active, and happier however many years I have left!!!!!
Thanks to you folks for being here when I started researching WLS - for answering my questions, giving your insight, and for supporting me since my surgery. I feel like you're sorta an extended family!
I saw from your earlier posts that you have a sense of humor, so I hope you are laughing about the "in the ground" statement.
Have a great rest of your birthday.
NOT!!!! BwaHahahahahaha!!!!

Actually, prior to my WLS, I felt more like I was about to turn 95 instead of 55. Now, instead of feeling like I have one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel, I feel I have both feet firmly on the ground and ready to reclaim my life - a life that will be worth living again!!
