Two weeks till I start my pre-op diet.  I am wondering what kind of "broth" did you drink?

Somebody mentioned using the broth from chicken noodle soup because it tastes better but doesn't it have more calories?

TIA

I really like the Wyler's bouillon in the Chicken with Herbs & Spices and Beef with Onion & Garlic flavors. Much more flavor than plain bouillon cubes. Find them right next to the canned broth in the soup aisle.

Susan is right!  I am on the liquid diet at the moment and it takes some creativity. I am using the Wyler's chicken bouillon and mixing it with other broth from the low calorie Lipton soup mix and draining off the noodles, to me it's a more intense flavor and much heartier. My mother also boiled some skinless chicken breast and I used that broth as well and added my Wyler's and Lipton and let me tell you, it is so good. I'm not sure but I think the noodles in broth based soups such as these are what makes most of the calories. Like I said, I don't really know for sure but I have a nice suspicion that it's that way. Either way you go, I hope you find something that you really like.

I used homemade chicken broth.
I also make a very good turkey broth that is my all time favorite.
Know any grannies that can make you some and freeze it up for you?
Just make sure its fat free.

But now Emeril has good tasting chicken broth.
I dont remember the calorie count on it.
