Thought Provoker
While on another board, the topic was brought up about people who have a hoarding mentality. This means that a person collects certain items or stockpiles, so to speak, so that they never run out of supply. In my own life, I know that I have some of these tendencies. I wonder if there are others of us here?
Of course its no surprise that I have a gazillion protein bars, chips, powders, and am always looking for new sugar free items. It doesn't matter if its cookies, popsicles, drink mixes, drink powders, candy bars, jello, pudding, hey I even found sugar free lubricant (and I am not talking about oil for the car either). LOL. Anyway... all things sugar free are gonna find their way into my house. The problem is, I never eat them. Mostly, I pile them in the closet. They remain there "just in case", or at least that's the reason I give myself (and Tim).
Sometimes I get tired of them and clean them out. I pass them off onto other bypass patients who either need a break from their usual routine foods, or want a sample. *That's where I got all the sugar free cookies for the drawing at the last picnic! Right now I have two boxes of Supreme Protein, 4 boxes of AchievOne (which I don't even like anymore), 21 cannisters of different protein powders including Nectar, Whey Gourmet, Syntha 6, Elite... let's not even forget the two boxes of Kay's Naturals Kruncheez and pretzels, of which I have eaten maybe 1 bag in the past month! I have Kay's Naturals protein cereal... Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Valor bars... sugar free jelly bellys.
I also own a ton of cosmetics, jewelry, can't seem to get enough of clothing at my local Goodwill. Thank heavens I am cheap/frugal and am not in a world of debt. Makes me wonder... does anyone else see this in themselves?
Somehow we went from observation to a garage sale! I dunno how that happened. Nope me not selling me products.
Remember last year after I had my plastic surgery, I could not eat any protein at all. I had a rough time. Well I sold 4 cases of AchievOne, gave away about 5 containers of protein powder, sold at least 4 more, and lived to regret it! So now Ive come to the conclusion: If you don't like it, hold onto it because very shortly, your tastes will change AGAIN!
I bought the Nectar Apple Ecstasy and Twisted Cherry, then a week later I could not stand it again! argh!
