Hello...

everybody i'm new to this. I need to ask a question who on here has used Centennial for their surgery? B/c i went to the info siminar(sp) today and i found that they are very nice and know what they are talking about. Any info on this would be helpful.

I can't help ya there...had my surgery at Southern Hills with one of the Docs that is mainly at Baptist...but I did want to welcome you to the board...and rest assured you will get lots of helpful info from the folks here...good luck to you!!!

Hello!  I attended seminars held both by Dr. Olsen, and Dr. Houston.  I originally felt I would have Dr. Olsen do my surgery. But when I sat in on Dr. Houston's seminar, I loved the ease in which he spoke of the surgery.  It just seemed to flow out naturally from him, and he believes in his calling.  He performed my surgery in Oct. 2006.  I would consider myself a success, and I guess he does as he told me that I was a success as well. 

 There are some GREAT docs in this area of Nashville.  I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Centennial and Baptist.  I haven't met any of the docs from Vanderbilt but there are some highly successful postops here such as Bamabob, PDSmile, Misty, I think Juanita, Trina, and BobL. 

Good luck on your search.  There are some great docs in this area!

I can't help you either but didn't want you to think a bunch of people were reading and not responding... lol.

I just started this process and will be having mine at Vandy, but I have heard awesome things about Centennial (my insurence just uses Vandy though).

Good luck! I have found this place to be so good at answering questions and meeting people that have gone through or are going through what we all are!!!

I concur with Melinda. I had my surgery at Centennial by Dr. Houston as well. I think their staff are just wonderful. Any time I call, if they don't answer they return my call ASAP. There was never a time that I felt as if I was not a top priority to them either before or after surgery. Even if I call after hours, Dr. Houston has always called me back in at least 30 minutes to an hour. So, I think they are awesome. The people in his office are so sweet and friendly. I adore all of them. In the hospital, the same. Everyone from nurses to dietary staff are just so nice.

I am waiting on insurance approval to have the RNY but Dr. Houston from Centennial will be my surgeon.  The people at cent have been wonderful in all aspects.  I am sure their are many qualified surgeons in the area, but I have been very pleased with my choice.
