WOW moments still happen

I continue to be surprised by WOW moments even at 2 1/2 years out. This one had me smiling all the way back to my car. I was leaving Wal-Mart and on the way to my car I passed a family with 4 small children. The dad was holding a little girl about 6 up to the minivan window and I noticed that he was handing her a pen. It took me a moment to realize they were locked out of their vehicle but the front passenger window was open about 3 - 4 inches. The little girl could not reach the door lock even with the pen so dad tried to put his hand in the opening. Mom and Dad were both quite overweight and I realized then that their arms were too big and the child's arm was too short.  Would my arm fit?? I walked over to them and offered my help. Dad made the comment that their (his and his wife's) arms were too big and I said, "and the kids arms are too short." He handed me the pen and showed me where the lock button was. I slid my hand and arm in the opening, stood on my tiptoes so I could get my arm in far enough to bend my elbow, and hit the button. Eureka!! Two and a half years ago there is no way my arm would have fit in that opening. Today, my much smaller arm helped a family. Sometimes it's the littlest things that bring tears to your eyes.

That is just an awesome story!  I can see you now reaching up in that vehicle, probably on your tippy toes...  just think, many of us WERE those same people just a few short years/months ago!  We too would have needed help.  We know how they felt!

My newest NSV's include flirting with strangers - men.  Not strange men! LOL.  Just men who are strangers.

Susan,

That was totally awesome!  What a blessing to be able to help someone else in a way none of us could have done before!
