Just wanted to say a special big ole THANKS to Paula, Freddie, Susuan, and Laura and the rest of the Baptist group that help put this on. There was so many new things to try. Everyone had talked about the Chick-o-stick drink, I was so scared to try it because of the cocanut flavor that it gives, but I could not even taste it, and I hate the smell, taste, texture, anything to do with cocanut........well let me tell you I love'd it. I was able to try the Nectar Twisted Cherry.........and oh go**** was awesome...thanks Susan for my own little sample to take home..fixin to go a mixing this morning and I am gonna drink on it all day. There was a huge turnout....had folks at all stages. Meet some folks from the board for the first time ...Chrissy and her daughter......that was cool and so awesome to see some that we had meet before...Jenn75 and her friend. I think that there was a few more from the board that I didn't get to meet. Everyone was looking great. We talked to several about the walk and about let them know about the Lunch Bunch and Dinner Club get togethers that we have. So anyway thanks again for taking your time, money, effort, supplies... for throwing this ba**** was awesome. Cheryl

You're welcome Cheryl. It was fun! I was amazed at the size of the group. There had to have been 50 people there. Wow! Now, you do know that the sample you got is only one scoop? That is the amount I put into the 20 oz of water and ice along with the packet of Crystal Light last night.

I get it at The Vitamin Shoppe. That way I don't have to pay shipping or wait for it.

I'm so glad that everyone enjoyed it!  It was fun for me, too! I learned from those who went before me and was honored to get to play with two of "the greats!"

I didn't make it because of my kickball game.  Sounds like it was great though.  Too bad I always play on Thursday night.  Maybe next month I'll have one of my late games (9:00 or 10:00 p.m.) and will be able to make it. I used to LOVE chick-o-sticks when I was a kid.  So what is all of this chick-o-stick talk??  I think I need the recipe... haha :) Please post and share!

Our own dear Freddie has let us know that there are SF Chick-O-Sticks out there. Melinda informed us that they are available at Fred's. (insert Snoopy doing the happy dance) Freddie posted her recipe for the Chick-O-Stick protein shake the other day. I have copied it below. Enjoy!! Freddie's Chick-O-Stick protein shake Okay kids...here it is...my beloved shake recipe:

1 scoop Whey Gourmet Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Powder
4-5 ounces cold water
2 teaspoons DaVinci Sugarfree Coconut Syrup
4-5 ice cubes
1 Sugarfree Chick-o-Stick candy (I buy these in Manchester at the Russell Stover Store..exit 114)
1 teaspoon Gosh That's Good Sugarfree White Velvet powder (online)

Mix it up in your little blender and enjoy.

Substitutions:  If you don't have the exact ingredients you could use what you have to make it taste the same.  For example...the flavors you are trying to bring out are peanut butter and toasted coconut...so...you could use vanilla protein powder or cookies and cream...then add a teaspoon of peanut butter or a Tablespoon of PB2 peanut butter powder (saves on fat grams.)  If you don't have the coconut syrup, use coconut extract or lite coconut milk.  If you don't have the White Velvet, use vanilla sugarfree creamer.  Just mix and play until it makes you happy.
