Met Dr. Richards And.........

I think he's a very nice man. He actually made a joke with the nurse today and he laughed, he also took time to listen to me and smiled on several ocassions(sp) while we were talking. I suppose it's just different for everyone, but I found him to be a very thorough doctor and one that will listen to what you have to say. I like him.

On the other side of the news I have met the mini goal for this appointment. I wanted to get below 320 pounds and I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!! The dietician has set a new goal for me now but I still like my goal better. I will do it just as I have accomplished this. I couldn't get over how happy the whole team was at my accomplishment and it made me feel so good, it makes me want to go further. I have to admit I would not have gotten this far without the help and support of you all here, and that means a lot. I now weigh 317 pounds from 396.6.

I will be starting my liquid diet on Sunday the 13th, I think it's pretty lienent. See you all on the losers bench!

Thanks Bob, it wasn't all cherries I had a lemon or two in there but I managed to make sugar free cherry limeade and go on about my business. Yeah, life throws us lemons but if we mix it what what we have that's good we'll manage. I did. See you on the bench!

Thank you! I told you that I'd let everyone know how my meeting with him went. In spite of being late to all of my appointments things were still good for me.

Yeah, the weight loss is good it feels good, that's why my joints have been hurting because I'm taking advantage of it but it will get better in the end. I really do think you'll like Dr. Richards, I did and I'm pretty sensitive. I will warn you that one of the computers froze up and made him angry......lol, but we moved to another room.

Diane Congrats on meeting your first goal!  That is wonderful.  I'm glad that you like your surgeon.  It's very important to like and be able to communicate with the man who is going to reroute your intestines! lol Keep up the great work... and hey, I just noticed that your surgery is on the one year anniversary of when Tim & I met.  Good things in store!

Hey Mel! Yeah, I kept thinking about that surgeon/patient relationship thing and to me he has a warm personality but he is more on a professional level and I like that.

I'm trying so hard to succeed! I suppose I'm working so hard at this because I am determined that I want a new, healthier, better, longer life.

OMG, I can not believe this, it is the anniversary of your meeting Tim, and it's on the anniversary of my PCP's wedding. It must be on God's approval, yes, that is going to be a good day. I'm even more excited now.

Hi Erika! I see you have Dr. Richards too, I think you'll like him, it's hard for a lot of people to impress me but he did, I guess it's because I found his resume and read it and I do know that he is a man that knows what he's doing with the gastrointestinal tract, and he's the chief surgeon in the bariatrics department. I'm trying hard and thank you so much. It's a lot of people on this board that have inspired me and continue to do so. You have found a terrific place on this board.
