You Tennessee Folks are "Looking Good!"

  I am new to the boards and I just looked at the Tennessee before and after photo's.....WOW.. You guys look great!   I am so looking forward to feeling as great as all of you look after I get my lap band.  I have struggled with this all my life.  i have finally gotten the courage to move forward and I can't believe I waited so long.    I am looking for some friends that are close to me.  I hope we can support each other.  I guess it doesn't matter how far we are apart.  I guess Tennessee is close enough.  PS.  Can anyone tell me how to get my picture on my posts.   I have looked everywhere and cant' figure it out.  I'm not stupid......just point me in the right direction.    THANKS!

First let me say WELCOME!  You will find a bunch of friendly and supportive folks here...How far are you away from Nashville...If you aren't too far there is a lap band support group meeting at Baptist Hospital this Thursday the 10th...hope you can make it..

I'm much closer to Memphis than I am to Nashville. I am in the West end of the State.  I haven't found a support group here, but I am going to the NUT on the 23rd.   Maybe they will have one that I just don't know about yet.   Thanks for the post and friendly chat. 

Cathy, Welcome to the Tennessee board!  There are some people here from Memphis.  I am originally from Germantown, but now live in east Tennessee.  This board is great and extremely supportive.  Again, welcome! Marilyn

You are correct!  You are looking good too.   How did an Alabama boy get on the Tennessee board?   My granddaughter and Son are big Alabama football fans and during the season, their neighbor won't let them in the house if they have on their Alabama tee shirts.   This summer my son cut a big red A in his yard and painted it red.  Their houses are right across the street from each other, so the neighbor had to look at the A untill my son cut the yard again.   They are good friends and it's all in fun .  The other neighbors love it.  

Hi Cathy and welcome.  This board rocks with support, friendships, prayers, and get togethers.  As for putting your picture on the site, go to the home page, I can't tell you how to do it as someone had to help me.  But you will probably get someone on here or on the main page to help put your avitar on your profile.  Again welcome.

Thanks for the support.  I think I like this board better than the other boards.  It seems smaller and easier very friendly!  I have figured out how to put my photo on but my picture is too big.  Oh well, if it's not one thing it's another...so goes my life recently.  I'm determined to make something positive out of the negitive.   I'll just wait til my husband gets off work.  We laugh and call him my technical advisor!  I am smart at most things, but this computer drives me nuts,
