HELLO JUST WANTED TO ASK U GUYS DID U ALL EXPERIENCE THE NERVOUSNESS AND NOT BEING ABLE TO SLEEP WHEN IT WAS A FEW WEEKS AWAY FROM SURGERY? I KNOW THAT MY SURGERY IS IN 4 WEEKS AND 4 DAYS BUT EVERY TIME I WAKE UP AND GO TO SLEEP ITS ON MY MIND. CAN ANYBODY TELL ME WHAT U DID IN THE COURSE OF TIME BEFORE SURGERY?

Yep, that's pretty normal Renee.  It will probably get worse as the surgery date gets nearer too.  After all, it is major surgery and will require major changes for the rest of your life.  I think everyone has the nervous, scarey thoughts.  Once I made up my mind to have the surgery, I just said to myself "Just do it!" I spent most of my time here on OH, asking questions, reading others experiences, and trying to learn as much as I could and stay as positive as possible.  Focus on the benefits the surgery will bring by giving you the tool to get healthier and happier!   Hang in there, I'm sure you will do fine!

Yes I was very nervous. I even cancelled bible study at my house a couple of days before my surgery because I didn't want their germs. I wore a mask when my pastor said that he had a cold and we had prayer over the phone the night before because he and his wife was sick.  It is normal to have these feelings. I read a lot of OH and I read the book "Weightloss Surgery for Dummies" it helped me a lot. Take care and try to relax but most of all just educate yourself.
