Rough Sunday-Sorry it's kinda long

Hope everyone's Sunday's was better than ours. It started out pretty good, got ready for church and was planning on going to visit mom and step-dad after church. We pulled into the church parking lot and open the doors and before I could shut off the engine, we hear this clacking knocking noice. We went on in to church and after that we went out and had some of the folks listen and look to see if anyone could tell us what was wrong. There was no check engine light or any other warning lights on. It was not running hot, it was not stalling out. So we wasn't sure what it was. We made it home and by this time it was extremly loud. Got in and started calling my son, who is a shade tree mechaninc if you know what I mean. The only number that we have to reach him is his GF cell. We called her and she told us that he was working at the Smyrna Auto Zone. So we called there and no one knew him. So we called her back and told her and she got an attitued (sp) from you know where, done everyhing but cuss us out. Saying that he was at work and would not be able to come help us anyway. Needless to say by this time we was pissed, ill, upset, etc. Come to find out he was at the LaVergne Auto Zone, finally got ahold to him and he said for us to drive it up to where he was so that he could listen and maybe figure out what it was. So here we go getting back out pull out of the driveway and went about 100 yards and the noise stopped and I thought the engine had quit, but it hadn't, but I had no power steering at all. We knew then what it was so we didn't go and let my son check it out. So here we was at the stop sign, trying to get this thing home. Well since there was not power steering, with my arm the way it is and not being able to do hardly anything with it I could not drive it home. So Phil had to get out, walk around and get in and drive. Three of the things that he is not suppose to do. We made it back home and started calling places for prices. It seem's that they cost around 50-60 dollars which is not bad, considering that it could have been alot worse, the problem is they have to order it and it won't be here until at least Wednesday. So we are stuck here at the house until at least then. We don't have any doctor's appointments or anyting going on until Thursday. Either my son or one of his friends can come here and put it on, if we just had the part. Phil  wants to get up and do stuff about it and when he does I tell him to stop and set down, then of course that causes problems between us. That is why I am up can't sleep I have been up since 11:30. Ya'll know me miss. worry your butt off. We are so close to getting his foot well and I am just trying to keep him off of it. The doctor is now saying that he "should" be able to start walking on it in two weeks, but he has to continue on doing what he is and staying off of it and keeping it elevated. Of course all of this upsets me, because I feel like I should be taking care of everything since he can't do alot. I need so bad to go have my shoulder looked at, but there is no way, until he is healed and back doing stuff. It is to the point to where I have to have something for the pain almost every night. I still have some of the Liquid pain meds that Dr. Morton gave me after surgery so that is what I am using for now. Sorry I am venting so much yet again, but it just seems that we can't get a break. Most of you know, that all of this has been going on since the week before Easter. I am at the point to where I can eat just about anything. I am not eating the bad stuff, just alot more of the good stuff. I did get things worked out with Dr. Morton and I am going in the middle of next month to get a fill and they are going to work with me on the bill. But until then I don't know how much I will have gained. I think I am still losing in inches, but the dang numbers are going the wrong way. Everyone keep us in your thoughts and hopefully real soon, I will be able to post some good news. Thanks, Cheryl

Cheryl, first and for most you know that I am praying for  you., second ( and at times like these it sure doesn't sound like a lot) but God will never give you more than you can handle.  So on a kinda sorta good note- God thinks you are both strong enough to handle what is coming your way.  I know it is extremely hard but keep your chin up and things will start looking better soon.  Love ya and call if you need to. Hang in there Cheryl...you are one of the sweetest people in the world, and I hate to hear of your bad luck...I know it is easy for me to say, but try to focus on the positive...BTW, sounds like the son's GF needs a boot up her but...Is it Bob that talks of bringing the size 10's over, and if that doesn't work, maybe my size 8.5's will do...lol...
