Urgent Prayer Needed
Jennifer, my cousin (she feels more like my niece) was having double vision last week and her grandma (who she lives with) took her to the eye doctor and he sent her to the local ER for a CAT Scan, they found a growth on her brain. They immediately sent her to Vanderbilt's Childrens Hospital on Wednesday, where they ran more tests and confirmed that she had a tumor. She is 11 years old, and will have brain surgery on Tuesday morning at 8am. The surgery will be a minimum of 8 hrs. The mass, neurosurgeon doesn't call it a tumor, is in the top, center of her head where the two halves of the brain meet. The surgeon asked her grandma how much she had told Jennifer and she said that she had been very honest and told her everything so he asked Jennifer "young lady is there anything you would like to ask me" and she said "have you ever done this before" those kids are so resilient. He told her he had done a few thousand and she said okay, cool I'm ready. LOL He said he didn't want the holiday to be on anyone's mind so they would do it on Tues.
Please keep her in your prayers. Also keep the family in your prayers, we have a 2 1/2 hour drive each way. I know that there are many prayer warriors here and that you believe in the power of prayer. Thank you in advance for your thoughts and prayers.

Lots of Prayers and Positive thoughts to that brave little girl and her family!
I just emailed my pastor and he will add Jennifer to our prayer list during tomorrow service as well. I believe with my whole heart the power of prayer! I'm not too far from Vandy if they need anything. I wouldn't mind dropping off starbucks or something for the parents while they wait... just anything, lmk.
Prayer goes without saying for both Jennifer and the surgical team. Don't forget they have a very nice McDonalds house right down the street from Vandy, my daughter (Jennifer) and son-n-law stayed there while my grandson was in Vandy, ask the staff and they can help set it up. Also its free of charge. God Bless. Bob
