Congratulations lady!  I knew it would happen. Feel better now huh?  Well, let's see... advice. Before surgery, get rid of all the things you won't be able to eat or drink.  Go get all the supplements you will need, water, etc. so that it's waiting at home for you. Get together things you may want while in the hospital like comfy pj's, houseshoes, your toiletries that you HAVE to have that no substitute will work. Oh, chapstick!  Your lips will get so dry!  But, mostly it for me was a time to just prepare mentally. I did a lot of "spring" cleaning. To get my mind off of any nervousness and so that I wouldn't have to do it while I was trying to heal and in pain.  And, my biggest suggestion is that if you haven't found a gym to look for one. I think exercise is key after WLS. Some nerves are expected but save it for the big day LOL. Preferably right before they knock you out and then you won't care LOL I am so happy for you!  Is someone going to be checking up on you and reporting to us? If someone else hasn't taken the lead on that, I'd be happy to! God bless!

Congratulations!  As others have stated...being nervous is to be expected.  My advice is to read and educate yourself as much as possible.  By learning as much as you can beforehand, you will know if what experience is normal or perhaps somethng you need to talk with your doctor about.  Get ready sweet sister...you are about to have the most exciting year of your life!!! If I can help you...just let me know. Welcome to the loser's club! Freddie

First thing renee CONGRATULATION!!!!!  Try not to over think!  Stay involved here and start creating new good habits so your not getting hit at the last minute trying to do it all.  Like no soft drinks, straws, slow your eating (I'm still having to time myself?), chew, chew, chew, no gum. Start journaling your daily food & protein even if your not post op it will get you into the habit.  Good Luck & God Bless. C'ya Bob
