The jury I believe will swing to both defenses on this question, however you could try liquid or the gel ones??  Just a thought!!

Ive tried some liquid ones and OMG!, Ive heard different rumors about the gel ones that our bodies cannot absorb them, but not sure if that is true or not.  But thank you for replying I will for sure take another look at the gel ones, just cant stomach the liquid ones. Thanks hun

First of all, let me remind you that I am still recovering from plastics so if this sounds horrible, please do not laugh too hard!!!  This was just a thought, do you think that you could add the liquid vitamins to a Crystal Light type drink and it would mask the taste well enough for you to stomach them???  Once again, this was just a thought!!! LOL

This has been the first time I have really been posting since my surgery and my eyes are beginning to bother me, so I am going to get off the computer and rest, but I will PM you later with some information.   Good talking with you!! I take liquid vitamins and they don't taste too great but if I take them and a swig of my protein shake then it is good. My liquid calcium doesn't taste bad so no problems there. I'm about to run out and was thinking of trying the chewable ones again.

Bariatric Advantage makes capsules that you can take (like the old Vista Vitamins.)  You can get them from BariatricEating.com

Hope this helps!

I know there are some who argue that we don't absorb regular vitamins and medications unless they are chewed, crushed or liquid...I have never crushed the first pill since surgery.  I did use a chewable ADULT multivitamin right after surgery, per my surgeon's instructions. Now I use the regular Centrum multi, chewable calcium (because I like the taste), a b-12 injection twice per month, and gelcap Omega 3 Fish Oil. I don't take an iron supplement because I am post menopausal. Also, I do not take, or need, any hormone supplements to deal with any of the menopause stuff because I have no problems there. My labs continue to be perfect at almost 2 1/2 years post-op and following plastics. My plastic surgeon was impressed with my hematocrit levels both pre-op and post. I know a lot of folks really like the Bariatric Advantage products.
